  Enoch Eby, "the youngest son of David and Elizabeth (Bechtel) Eby was born August 24th, 1834. On February 2nd, 1856, he was married to Magdalena Schneider who was born June 30th, 1833. They reside on a farm near Port Elgin, Ontario, where he died August 24th, 1884. To them were born ten children, .." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
