  BRAID, Shirley - Peacefully, on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at K.W. Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Shirley (Seiling) Braid, age 79 years, of Elmira. Dear mother of John Braid of RR 2, Elora, and Nancy Braid, Cord and Mary Jane Braid, all of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jennifer (John), James, David (Robyn), Ron, Sarah and by Allison and Joel. Sister and best friend of Jean Trapp of RR 1, Elmira and sister-in-law of Gert Seiling of Waterloo. Shirley is remembered by her many nieces, nephews and by her extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Edna (Mackie) Seiling; her brother, Donald; her sister, Bette Musselman, and her brothers-in-law, Art Musselman and Carl Trapp. Shirley was a loyal employee of Home Hardware Ltd., St. Jacobs, for over 25 years. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Monday, July 21, transfer will be made to the Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira for funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Linda J. Bell officiating, followed by interment in the Elmira Union Cemetery. In Shirley's memory, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Cardiac Care Unit or Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
