- JACOBS, Maurice C. \endash Peacefully, to his eternal home, on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at St. Mary's Hospital, in Kitchener, Maurice Charles Jacobs, of Wellesley. Maurice was born in Mornington township 85 years ago.
Son of the late Oscar Jacobs and the late Margaret Doerr. Mr. Jacobs was a member of the North Easthope Reformed Mennonite Church. Maurice and Florence farmed in Wellesley township, retiring in 1978.
Beloved husband of Florence M. (Roth) Jacobs of Wellesley. Dear father of Eddie and his wife Lynn Jacobs of Bloomingdale, Ray and his wife Jackie Jacobs of Kitchener, Elaine and her husband Larry Gerber of Wellesley, John and his wife Beverly Jacobs of Wellesley and Susan and her husband Rev. David Hammer of Wellesley. Brother of Bernel and Dorothy Jacobs of Waterloo, Florence Seibert of New Hamburg and Inez and Arnold Voll of Waterloo. Brother-in-law of Josephine Jacobs of Burks Falls, William McNab of Shakespeare, Ralph Wilhelm of Tavistock and Norman Cook of Kitchener. Cherished grandpa of 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by a brother, Gordon Jacobs and three sisters, Hazel McNab, Eileen Wilhelm and Violet Cook; by brothers-in-law, John Seibert and Roy Fetter. Also by a grandson, Derek Jacobs, 1977.
Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St. in Wellesley where family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the North Easthope Reformed Mennonite Church on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Edward Bankert and Rev. Robert Beehler will officiate. Spring interment in the Kingswood Reformed Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorials to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
