  Magdalena Eby, "was born August 26th, 1841. She is married to Isaac E. Shantz and resides in Berlin where he is engaged in business. They have a family of six children: Josiah, married to Eliza Shantz, has a family of several children and resides in Berlin, Tilman, died young, Edmund is married to Susannah Groff and resides on the old homestead. They have two children. Elmina is married to Rev. Christian Miller and resides in Berlin. Mary Ann is married to Amos Groff. They reside on the old "Groff Farm" near Waterloo.
