- GASCHO, Allen - Passed away suddenly as a result of an accident, on Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at RR2, Kippen. Allen presently resided in Brunner and was formerly of RR1, Milverton and also of Newton where they resided for 39 years.
He was born August 9, 1925 in Mornington Township and was the son of the late John S. and Annie (Gerber) Gascho. Allen worked at Hastings Foundry in Stratford and also Bauman Manufacturing in Hawkesville. Allen was a member of Milverton Conservative Mennonite Church, Milverton.
Beloved husband of Anna Mae (Erb) Gascho whom he married September 28, 1949. Dear father of Rosemary and husband Harold Gerber, Eleanor and husband Amos Martin, all of Kenabeek, Ruth and husband Nelson Gerber of Gadshill, Ronald and wife Betty Gascho of Salisbury, MD, Kenneth and wife Wendy Gascho of Arthur, Miriam and husband Delmar Gerber, Barbara and husband David Zehr, all of Millbank, Sandra and husband Bradley Bender of Kippen. Sadly missed by his 41 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by his sisters and brothers Norma and Mahlon Bast of Livley, Ivan and Doris Gascho of Waterloo, Edith and Earl Wagler of Millbank, John Gascho and friend Eleanor of Edmonton, AB and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary Gascho, Nelson and Leona Erb, Ruby Erb, Lorene and Lowell Shantz, Elmer and Adeline Erb, Norma and Harold Zehr, Eileen and Ralph Lebold, Florence and David Gascho, Eva McKinnon, Lloyd and Laurene Erb.
Allen was predeceased by three grandchildren Joanna Gascho (1985), Courtney Gascho (2000), Richard Gerber (2001), brother Mervin Gascho (1999), brothers-in-law Lorne Erb (1988) and Wes McKinnon (2004).
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton on Friday September 23, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 and again Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, Wellesley Township with Dannie Gascho officiating. Interment in Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church Cemetery, Millbank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Conservative Mennonite Fellowship Missions (Guatemala) or Christian Aid Ministries.
