  MCKELLAR, DOUGALD MCLARTY Of 127 Wellington St. in Galt, a lifelong resident of Galt and district, at his home on Saturday evening, January 15, 1949, in his 80th year. Mr. McKellar was born at Killean, son of the later Mr. and Mrs. Walter McKellar. He was in the construction business all his life, working mainly on railway and road work. He was a member of the Galt Board of Works for thirty-five years, for twenty-five of which, he served as superintendent. He retired in March 1939. He was an ardent hockey and baseball fan and since his retirement, had devoted his time to his garden. Mr. and Mrs. McKellar celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in December of last year. He was an adherent of Knox Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Grieve; two sons, J. W. McKellar of Galt; Earl McKellar of Chatham; one daughter, Marion, at home; one sister, Mrs. Dougald Smith of Grand Ave. S. in Galt; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Service at the T. Little and Son Funeral Home, 39 Grand Ave. N. , Galt on Tuesday at 2: 30, conducted by Rev. W. J. Walker of Knox Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers: R. K. Serviss, John Riddell, Edward Couch, Henry Kern, Neil McKellar and Kenneth McKellar. Interment Mount View Cemetery. -Information from the birth certificates: Born Sept. 21, 1869, son of Walter McKellar and Ellen McLarty. Siblings were Mary, b. Nov. 25, 1872 and Walter, b.
