Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday at 11 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church for Mr. Cook of R. R. #2, Puslinch, who died on Monday, July 21, 1980 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, age 55 years. He was born in Hagersville and lived in the area for twenty years. He was a foreman at Franklin Manufacturing Co. Ltd., retiring due to ill health. Mr. Cook was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the 8th Battalion Scottish Highlanders, reaching the rank of corporal. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 272, Hespeler. Surviving are his wife, Mary Redmayne; sons, Brian and Michael of Cambridge; daughter, Sharon (Mrs. Kevin Murphy) of Cambridge; his brother, Robert of Port Colborne; sister, Freida (Mrs. A. Small) of Toronto; grandchildren, Heather, Andrew and Christopher. Predeceased by a brother, Michael. Little's Funeral Home. Interment Mount View Cemetery. A memorial service was conducted by the Legion at 7 p. m. on Tuesday.
