- ANTZI, Leonard N. - Answering the Lord's call, Leonard passed away peacefully at his home in Brunner, with his faithful companion at his side, on Saturday, September 5, 2009, after graciously suffering Parkinson's disease for the past ten years. Leonard was born 80 years ago in Mornington Township a son of the late, Menno L. and Susan (Nafziger) Jantzi. He had farmed on the home farm at RR 1, Brunner prior to his retirement. Leonard was a member of Fellowship Haven Amish Mennonite Church, Monkton. He was ordained on May 17, 1970 to the ministry and served in the Mornington, Fairhaven and Fellowship Haven Amish Mennonite Congregations. Beloved husband of Mary Jane (Kuepfer) Jantzi who he married January 3, 1952. Loving father of Marie and Harold Erb of RR 1, Milverton, Elaine and Laverne Ropp of RR 3, Monkton, Rosemary and Stephen Ropp of RR 1, Brunner, Paul and Nancy Jantzi of RR 2, Milverton, Larry and Beatrice Jantzi of RR 1, Brunner. Sadly missed by his 35 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by sisters, Katie and Aaron L. Jantzi of Wellesley, Laurene and Floyd Kuepfer of Milverton and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elmina Jantzi of Wellesley, Katie Jantzi of RR 1, Milverton, Katie Wagler of RR 1, Brunner, Norma and Elmer Mast of Tennessee, Jack and Katie Kuepfer of Milverton, Melvin and Amy Kuepfer of Millbank, Mervin and Norma Kuepfer of Listowel. Leonard was predeceased by grandson, Jared Jantzi; by brothers and sisters, Samuel and Katie Jantzi, Claytus and Fannie Jantzi, Ezra and Katie Jantzi, Nickolas and Mary Jantzi, Elmer Jantzi, Norman and Laurene Jantzi, Amanda and Emmanuel Gerber, Harvey Jantzi, Aaron N. Jantzi; a brother in infancy; and by brothers-in-law, Melvin Jantzi and Solomon Wagler. Friends and relatives called at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and again Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Tuesday, September 8, 2009 (today) the funeral service will take place at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, Wellesley at 1:30 p.m with Bishop Laverne Ropp officiating. Burial to follow in Mornington Amish Mennonite Cemetery, Poole West. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Masters International Ministries Ukraine or the Parkinson's Society.
