  Robert Ball dies 20 years after scooter mishap Robert Ball, 47, son of Kitchener builder Harold J. Ball, died Wednesday at South Waterloo Hospital, almost 20 years after he was injured in a motor scooter mishap in France. The accident, 20 years ago this June, caused permanent neurological damage and confined Ball to institutional care. Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Jack and James of Kitchener, and Thomas of Waterloo. The funeral will be held Friday at St. Daniel's Roman Catholic Church, Kitchener.
