  Henry Ringler "the old progenitor of this family, was a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where he was born about the year 1770. In the year 1802 he, in company with his wife and family others,moved to Canada and settled in Waterloo County, Ontario, near Galt, where he resided several years, then moved to Wilmot Township, near Manheim, where he died many years ago. One of his sons was named" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
