  Mrs. William Shortreed GALT; Mrs. William Shortreed of 20 Elliott St., died Wednesday, at South Waterloo Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Shortreed was born at Listowel and had lived for the past seven years in Galt. She was the former Sarah (Sadie) Etta Durrant. She was a member of Wesley United Church, Galt. Her husband died in November, 1953 and she was predeceased by three sisters and a brother. Surviving are one son, Leonard of Galt: two sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Mary) Riddolls of Guelph and Mrs. Gus (Emmaline) Beroski of Campbellville and one grandchild. The body is at Coutts and Son funeral home, where friends will be received Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount View cemetery.
