  John F. Eby, "was born June 19th, 1839. He was married to Mary Romaine, at Albany, New York, August 18th, 1864. In 1867 they moved to Detroit, Michigan, where they still live with their six children. Names of children: Emma, born May 17th, 1865; Mabel, born December 19th, 1872; Eugenia, born March 2nd, 1876; Romaine, born February 12th, 1880; Bessie May, born May 9th, 1882, and Carl, born August 5th, 1885."
