  HARNACK, SOPHIA RITA (Nee Sowa) On Friday, May 25, 2007, at Guelph General Hospital, in her 89th year. Wife of the late Stanley Harnack (1977). Mother of Murray Harnack (Nina); Cecilia Broderick (Ron); Leonard Harnack (Andrea); Marianne Sloane (Thomas); Janice Breckenridge (Cal); Carol Harnack (Amos); Norman Harnack (Lydia); Mary-Jane Harnack; Ron Harnack (Lyne); Helen Harnack; David Harnack (Donna); and the late Joseph. Grandmother of Jason, Jennifer, Rochelle, Jeff, Lisa, Simon, Michelle, Renee, Liane, Thaidra, Suzanne, Katherine, Caroline, Michael, Derek, Alyssa, Jasmine, Karen, Joshua, Adam, Olivia, Wolfgang and Hope. Greatgrandmother of sixteen. Predeceased by her parents, Caroline and John Sowa and siblings, Johanna Murawski, Stanley and Joseph Sowa and Agnes Hagey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Irene Bitschy, Vera Schnurr, Mabel Harnack and Mary Sowa. Sophie was very devoted to her Catholic faith and to her family. She married Stan in 1941 and together they raised their family on a farm known as the "Garden of Puslinch" Funeral mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 16 Cooper St. in (Hespeler) Cambridge on Sat., June 2 at 11, with interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery.
