    • GIES, Ella Adeline Katherine - At K-W Hospital, on Sunday, April 25, 1993, Mrs. Ella Gies, of St. Jacobs, age 73 years.

      Elly was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Lutheran Church Women.

      Loving mother of Murray and his wife Cynthia of Ancaster, Virginia Gies of Scarborough. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Heather and her husband Kevin Spencer, Stacy and her husband Scott Stafford, all of Hamilton. Dear sister of Christa and her husband Laval Gies of Kitchener; lovingly remembered by her nephew, Ken Gies and his wife Susan of Kingston.

      Predeceased by her parents, Herman Miller and the former Gertrude Jasper; her husband, Harold Gies in 1976 and a daughter, Judy.

      Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, this evening (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Olaf Paulson officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg.

      As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice, would be gratefully acknowledged.
