Notes |
- Death of Mrs. Dr. Gillespie
The sad death of Rosetta Otto, wife of Dr. W. Gillespie, of Kitchener, took place at her home in Kitchener on Friday last very suddenly at the age of 47 years. The deceased was a daughter of the late John T. Otto and Mrs. Otto of New Hamburg. She was born in Wilmot Township and since her marriage resided for some time in Baden, where Dr. Gillespie practiced his profession for several years previous to removing to Kitchener. The deceased was a valuable member of the Evangelical Church and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends who deeply regret her passing. She leaves her husband and her mother, Mrs. J. T. Otto, of New Hamburg, besides three brothers and four sisters, namely Jacob, of Kitchener, David, of Wilmot, Daniel, of Detroit, Mrs. James, Detroit, Mrs. I. Weber, Kitchener, Mrs. Chas, Christner, New Hamburg, and Miss Thalma Otto, of London. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon with service at her late home on Frederick street, Kitchener, fol- lowed by interment in Riverside cemetery, New Hamburg.
