- The funeral of the returned soldier, Edward Ernst Flauaus, was held from the residence 45 Weber East to St. Matthew's Lutheran church from thence to East End Lutheran Cemetery [St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery]. The pallbearers were: Winn Reichel, Wm. Forler of Kitchener; A. Hunsberger and N. M. Steinman, of Baden. There was a host of friends and relatives of the deceased, grandmother Mrs. Flauaus of Baden, Mrs. [?] of Baden; Mr. and Mrs. A. Hunsberger, Baden; Mrs. Ida Gabel of Baden; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Keilman? of New Hamburg; Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Miller, Baden; Mrs. N. [?], Baden; Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Steinman, Baden; Mrs. A. M. Gabel, West Toronto; Mrs. A. H. Clemmer of Toronto, and a number of other friends. Many flowers were received: Pillow, from the family; wreaths, employees Dom. Linseed Oil Co.., Baden; wreath A. J. Gabel and family; cross, grandmother Gabel and Miss Ida Gabel; wreath, Jack Babcock?, of roses and carnations; sprays, Mr. and Mrs N. M. Steinman, Baden; Mrs. and Mrs. A.
