      Former Resident Dies At Kitchener

Following a lengthy illness, the death occurred at his home in Kitchener on Monday of John Zinn, at the age of 78 years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zinn and was born at Hanover on August 30, 1871.

The late Mr. Zinn was a former well known resident of New Hamburg and for a short time conducted a retail shoe store here. He was also engaged in the same business at Baden before moving to New Hamburg. For the past 17 years he had resided in Kitchener. His first wife, the former Caroline Wilhelm, died while residing here. He was later married to Sarah Merner of New Hamburg, who, with one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Gladys) Porter, Kitchener, survives him. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. David Hoeflin of Hanover, and one grandson.

The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, with Rev. W. Kaiser, pastor of Zion Evangelical Church, Kitchener, in charge. Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
