- Mrs. Elizabeth Linker Hofele - (By Chronicle Correspondent) - Baden - There passed away at her late residence in Baden on Saturday afternoon, Mrs. Elizabeth Linker Hofele, whose husband, Mr. Joseph Hofele predeceased her two years ago. The late Mrs. Hofele was born eighty-three years ago on July 24, 1856 in Paris. France. She came to Canada at the age of fourteen years and a few years later moved to what is now known as the village of Baden. The deceased lady was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Baden. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Louisa Weiler of Baden, one son. Edward. Hofele of Detroit and one brother, Peter Linker of Waterloo also six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon with a private service at her late residence at 2 p.m., and thence to Livingston Presbyterian Church for a public Service at 2.30 p.m. Rev. H. Erdmam of St. John's Lutheran Church had charge of the services and burial was In Fairmount cemetery, south of Baden.
