  William S. Mitchell in Wilmot Twp. born in Beaford, Karen Devonshire England Nov.25.1807 ftroop@180com.net Thomas Mitchell came to Grey twp. We think he came by Exeter, (as his wife was from there). Would like to know Death Reg.#40962 - 1918, Gottlieb Mayer , aged 73 yrs., about his brothers, John and William, and Dorothy (Mrs. 3 mos and 25 days, died 3 July 1918. Born (blank). He Smalldon ). Their father was John, and his father was was a moulder and married. Father was Chris Mayer, William. Smalldon's lived across the road from Thomas. mother not listed. Cause of death Bronchitis and Heart William's wife was Anne Diamond. Wm. died Jan.1898, disease. W. Dennis was the informant. Died in Preston, John died Dec. 9, 1907 at 91. Elizabeth Ware, wife died Waterloo Co., Ontario. Mar.12 1875, age 82. Sr. - Came to Canada from Devonshire, England, in 1837 accompanied by his wife and two children, first renting the farm in Wilmot where Conrad B. Schmidt now lives, afterwards moving to the farm now owned by Manley Zimmerman. He remained there for some years and then took up the homestead where he died. This farm is now owned by Noah Klinkman. Mr. Mitchell had a family of fourteen children as follows: Ann, Mrs. Richard Chapman, now of Michigan, William, deceased, of Wilmot, Mary, Mrs. Jonathan Cowing, of Listowel, Rebecca, Mrs. Wm. Mclycan, of Marlette, Michigan, now deceased, Betsy, Mrs. Joseph Currah, of Sarnia, John, drowned at Holland Mills aged 15, Jane, deceased, Thos., retired, New Hamburg, Margaret, Mrs. John Roth, Blandford Tp., Susan, Mrs. Wm.
