Notes - TREVENA, Verda Lillian (Bates) - Passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on December 30, 2008, at St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, Hamilton at the age of 92. Verda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allen Trevena; parents, Earl and Myrtle Bates; sisters, Zereda Dale, Zelda McGhie and Golda Cotton and brother, Woodrow (Bub) Bates. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 8, 2009, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at The Baldock Funeral Home , 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe where the funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. Reverend Mary Jo Patterson officiating followed by interment at Lynnville United Cemetery. Those wishing may donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society or to The Arthritic Society.
