CLIFFORD BATTY

A widely known commercial traveller, Clifford .F. Batty, 61, passed away at his home, 40 George street, Waterloo, early today. Although ill for several weeks, death, the result of a heart attack, came suddenly.

Mr. Batty, who moved to Waterloo from Brantford, where he resided for many years, was connected with the Canada Sandpaper Co,, of Preston, and the Harris Glue Co., of. Toronto. He was born In Norwich, Ont,, the third son of Mrs. Betty and the late Thomas Batty,

In addition to his mother, who resides in Hamilton, he is survived by his widow, (Ella Dake), three sons and six daughters, Dake in Toronto, (Deborah) Mrs. Gordon Smith of Hamilton, Maurice in Detroit, Mich., (Veronica) Mrs. W, W. Anderson also of Detroit, Doris at home, (Beatrice) Mrs. Herbert Berges, Waterloo, Martina at home, Clifford Jr., in Kitchener, and Sally at home. Two brothers, Ed. Batty of Oshawa, Arthur In Toronto, and one sister, Mrs. J. L. Kilgour, Hamilton, also survive.

The funeral will be held Friday morning from the residence at 10 o'clock to St, Louis R.C. Church. The remains will be at the Walsh Funeral Home, Waterloo, until 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
