- Barbara Eby, "was born June 15th, 1828. On December 21st, 1847, she was married to Henry Wideman who was born on October 12th, 1820. They reside on a farm near Dashwood, Hay Township, Huron County, Ontario, and have a family of seven children, namely: Elias E., Moses, Magdalena E., Lydia E., Henry E., Menno E., and Daniel E."

Weidman. -Barbara (Eby) Weidman was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., June 15, 1828; died Sept. 4, 1918; age 90 y. 2 m. 18 d. On Dec. 21, 1847 she was married to Henry Weidman. They lived in Woolwich township a number of years, then moved to Hay township, Huron Co., Ont., on a farm where they resided until the death of her husband in May, 1897. In the same year she moved to Huron Co., Mich., and had her home with her children. She is survived by six children (Elias, Moses, Menno, Mrs. Magadalena Reist, Henry and Mrs. Lydia Detweiler). One son preceded her in death. There are also living 30 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, one sister and four brothers. Her health was failing for the last six months. Her desire for the last few years was to go to Jesus. The funeral was conducted on Sept. 7 by Bro. Menno Eash. Buried in the Bern Mennonite Cemetery.
