    • OLIVE NORA GOUDIE 1905-2006

      Passed away, peacefully at A.R. Goudie Eventide Home Kitchener, on April 4, 2006, at the age of 100 years. Sadly missed by her brother Ross Knowles and his family and her sister Ruby McClenaghan and her family. Loving grandmother of Mary Beth (Bruce) Wiegand and family and special aunt of Joan (George) Todd and family. Survived by her grandson Stuart (Jean) Hatch and family; step-daughter-in-law Marion Goudie as well as many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews.

      Predeceased by her husband Arthur R. Goudie (1960); sisters Audrey Powell and Thelma McDonald; brothers Henry, John and Ivan Knowles; step- children Hope and James Hatch and Stuart and Louise Goudie.

      Olive was the president and founding member of the A.R. Goudie Eventide Home Women's Auxillary; member of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, the Women's Association and life member of the WMS; an active member of the YWCA Board, and a long time curler at the Granite Club.

      "Olive loved many and was loved by many."

      Friends are invited to share their memories of Olive with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday, April 7, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 8 from 10-10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service to celebrate Olive's life in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. with Lauren and Grant Effer officiating. Interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener at a later date. Following the committal service, in the chapel, friends are invited to join the family in the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room for refreshments.

      The family wishes to thank Dr. Jagas, and the caring staff at the A.R. Goudie Eventide Home.

      In lieu of flowers, donations in Olive's memory may be made to the St Andrew's Presbyterian Church TV Ministry, or the A.R. Goudie Eventide Home and can be arranged through the funeral home.
