    • GARRAWAY, William "Bill" Sanderson - Passed away peacefully, at St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, on Saturday, February 7, 2009 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Shirley Hawes and loving father of Bradley and his wife Wendy of Kitchener, Scott and his partner David Boyes of Waterloo. Loving grandfather of Matthew and Jeffrey. Also survived by his sister, Joan (Garraway) Wiley of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents, James and Betsy Garraway; and two brothers, Harry and James. Mr. Garraway was born in Whitehaven, England on December 31, 1928. Bill was retired from Canada Post, a member of Trillium United Church, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126 and also the Oddfellows Lodge. A recipient of the Rotary International Paul Harris award for voluntarism including Preston Minor Softball, Terry Fox Run, Boy Scouts, and many other charitable organizations. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home , 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. for a memorial visitation. A memorial Service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126 will he held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Trillium United Church, 450 King Street East, Cambridge on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Luke's Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Cambridge would be appreciated by the family.
