He is survived by his wife Eleanor (nee Barnes), daughter Cathy and husband Don of Wisconsin, son Bob of British Columbia, daughters Meg and Amy of Guelph, grandchildren Sara, Emily, Noah and Cailey, four great-grandchildren and sister Gladys Roth of Victoria, B.C. He is pre- deceased by his parents Abraham and Lizzie (Brox) Brubacher, brothers Mike and Irvin Brubacher, sisters Alice Wilson and Edna Ferguson and his grandson Abraham Brickley. Ray was born on December 21, 1926 on a farm in Woolwich Township. The family moved to Breslau where he attended school, and later Ray moved to Bridgeport. In 1951 he began a 16 year career of managing dairy farms in Ohio and Wisconsin. He returned to Ontario in 1967 and became part owner of Brubacher Sales Barn in Guelph, which he managed until his retirement in 1986. He was a Holstein Judge at many shows throughout North America and other parts of the world. Ray and Eleanor enjoyed spending time at their winter home at Schalamar Creek, Lakeland, Florida where he had a very active social life. He had a passion for golf and liked to ride around the park visiting numerous friends on his turquoise bicycle. In keeping with Ray's wishes, private family services are planned.
