- Albin(AL) Hergott, Second World War Veteran passed away peacefully following a brief illness at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Loving husband of Blanche (nee Kocher) for over 60 years. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Magdelena (Welzbacher) Hergott, brother Edward (Mamie), sister Madge (Gil Stumpf), brother-in-law Fred Curylo. Al was a member of St. Michael's RC Church in Waterloo and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530, Waterloo. He enjoyed all sports, especially ten-pin bowling.
