  LETSON, Alvin H. - Peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital. Alvin Letson in his 74th year of Elmira formerly of RR1 West Montrose. Beloved husband of Jean (Ober) Letson for 48 years. Dear father of Rosanne Mercer of Listowel, Charlotte and Keith Brohman of West Montrose, Warren and Ruth Letson of Bright. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew Mercer, Cory, Chad and Kyle Brohman and one great-grandson, Liam. Brother of Arnold and Esther Letson of RR1 West Montrose. Predeceased by his parents, Alex and Amelia (Weber) Letson and one granddaughter in infancy. Alvin and Jean enjoyed retirement years travelling and their camping and fishing trips to different areas. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira (today) Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 transfer will be made to the West Montrose United Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. with Marilyn Shaw officiating followed by interment in the Elmira Union Cemetery. In his memory, donations to the Waterloo Regional Lung Association or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
