    • MENNO BEAN SUCCUMBS

      Menno Bean, 90, died Sunday in his home at 401 Main Street, after a short illness. He was a retired farmer who had lived in Yale since 1920

      Mr. Bean was born in Waterloo County, Ont., January 29, 1860 and came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Bean, to. Greenwood Township when he was 14. He married Mary Faust in Greenwood Township in 1889. The couple moved to Yale on retirement from farming in 1920, and she died in 1944.

      Surviving are one brother, Noah of Yale; seven nephews and four neices.

      Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday in the Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Eddy, pastor of Yale Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
