    • Allen Bean Allen Bean, 82, resident of Greenwood Township for 70 years, died at his home Friday morning after a short illness. He was born February 5, 1865, in Waterloo County, Ontario. He came to Greenwood at the age of 12.

      He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ada Bean, two brothers, Noah and Meno Bean, both of Yale; three stepchildren, Mrs. Arthur Doan, Auburn Heights; Theodore Gottesleben, Yale, and Allen Gottesleben, Detroit; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

      The remains were removed from the Bankert Funeral Home to the residence on Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held at 2:3,0 p. m. Sunday in Greenwood Evangelical Church. Rev. Melviri Lempke, pastor, officiated and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, near Fargo.
