• Notes

  A nearly fatal accident occurred Sunday evening at the home of Abraham Heckroth, on tha River road, near Chicopee. John Gole, a farmer living not far from Heckroth, was staying there with his stallion, which was recently purchased. The animal became frenzied, and grabbed the shoulder of Gole, inflicting a nasty wound. The brute threw him to the ground and chewed him terrible on one arm and about the body before he could escape and the animal was driven off.
