Notes |
- Addison Bowman who spent his boyhood days in Elmira while his father, Joshua Bowman was engaged in the dry goods business in the stand now occupied by Mr. Geo. Ruppel, died in the Berlin & Waterloo Hospital last Saturday. Deceased had suffered from a lingering disease for several months, prior to which he was resident one year in St. Jacobs where he was interested in the Modern Canner Company. He reached the age of 47 years, 1 month and 24 days. Messrs. M. L. Weber and Geo Ruppel boarded the train Monday morning to attend the funeral, but owing to a delay caused by snow drifts, the train did not arrive at Berlin until after the funeral cortege had left for Listowel, where the remains of Mr. Bowman were interred by the side of those of his late father. Deceased leaves to mourn his loss, an aged mother and one sister.
