Notes - PETTIFER, Harold John Formerly of Warkworth, Ontario, peacefully passed away at Grand River Hospital, on Thursday, August 5, 2010, at the age of 93 years. Husband of Doree Pettifer. Loving dad of Hartley Pettifer, Shirley French (Howard), Lynda MacDonald (Dave), Gary Pettifer, Garnet Pettifer (Valerie), Shawn Hylton (Trinidad), Judith Dale (John) and Catharine Bowskill. Dear grandpa of Kimberly, Renée, Genoi, Stephan, Lee-Ann, Gillian and Amanda and great-grandpa of 14. Survived by his sister Doris Skinner. Predeceased by his son Neil Pettifer (Phyllis). Harold enjoyed reading, cross country skiing, hiking and cycling for many years. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home , 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon - 2 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from the Coutts Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. In memory of Harold, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
