- RUSS, Carl Frank - At the Southampton Care Centre, Southampton on Thursday, January 6, 2000. Carl Russ, of Southampton and formerly of Brantford, Hespeler, Galt and London, in his 85th year. Carl was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Brantford; a retired Funeral Di-rector, Hespeler and Executive with London Life Insurance; Past Master of New Hope Masonic Lodge, Hespeler, Past Lt. Governor and Mel Osborne Award recipient of Kiwanis International. Carl will also be remembered for his interests in Model Railroading and Woodworking. Beloved husband of Edna Russ (nee Harvey), Southampton. Dear father of Rev. Kenneth Russ and wife Rev. Eleanor Russ, Southampton; David Russ and his wife Anne, Brantford and James Russ, Brantford. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Bill Russ, Hamilton; Carlene and Jim Penney, Dun-das; Christina Russ, Nicole and Paul Scicluna, Denise and Steven Condran, and Nathan Russ all of Brantford; Justin Russ, Toronto; by his great grandchildren Matthew Russ, Jazmine Scicluna and by his step-great grand daughter Tawnya Clarkson. Also survived his sister-in-law Mary Lou Russ, Burlington. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Alberta Russ and by his brother Rev. Norman Russ. Visitation from the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, NORTH CHAPEL, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Friday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Rev. Beverly Thompson of Old Windham United Church, Simcoe will officiate. Interment at New Hope Cemetery, Hespeler. Further, a Memorial Service for Carl at the Southampton United Church on Sunday, January 9 at 3.:30 p m. Expressions of Remembrance to your favorite charity or the Cancer Society gratefully appreciated. Ozias Lodge #508 A.F. & A.M. will hold a Memorial Service at the McCleister Funeral Home, North Chapel on Friday evening at 6:45 p.m. McCleister (519) 758-1553.United Church.
