  RICH, Maureen Ann, RN, BA - With deep sorrow, the family of Maureen Ann Rich, announces her death at K-W Hospital, on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1987, following a long and courageous struggle, she was 43 years of age. Born in Kitchener, Maureen was the daughter of Mary R. Rich, with whom she resided at 81 Church St., Kitchener and the late Walter J. Rich. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing in Kitchener (1964) and of Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, B.C. Maureen worked at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto and at several teaching hospitals in western Canada before returning to Kitchener in 1978. Surviving, besides her mother, are a brother, William and his wife Marilyn (Wilhelm) Rich of Vancouver; a brother, David and his wife Maureen (O'Donaghue) Rich of Brantford and a sister, Donna Rich-Bradie and her husband Robert Bradie of Kitchener. Maureen will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, and many good friends. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Leo Speagle at St. Joseph's RC Church, Courtland and Madison Avenues, on Saturday, Jan. 10, 1987 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Following the funeral mass, friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home. Donations to Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital Building Fund, or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
