  HAMMER, Jean Catherine (nee Roth) Passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre. Jean resided in New Hamburg and was born 80 years ago in Kitchener. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Marion (Zimmerman) Roth. Beloved husband of Ken whom she married May 26, 1956. Loving mother of Susan Hammer and Doug Hammer both of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Kenny and Erika Hammer, Michelle and David Archer, Troy Hammer and Sadie Hammer and great-grandson Donny. Remembered by daughter-in-law Darla Hammer and Ben, as well as the Roth and Hammer Families. Jean was predeceased by her son Peter Hammer (2007), and brother Donald Roth (1973) and his wife Joyce (1996). Jean was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg, and the New Hamburg Lioness Club. Jean was a graduate of the K-W School of Nursing, class of 55, and will be greatly missed by her adoptive sisters. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Larson officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
