Notes - Passed away on August 25, 2014 at the Guelph General Hospital in his 77th year. Loving husband to Joan for 22 years and predeceased by his first wife Betty-Ann to whom he was married to for 25 years. Loving and caring father to Darryl (Michele) and Craig (Kate). Wonderful Grandpa to Judy, Stefanie, Erika, and Alison. Predeceased by his parents Paul and Margaret Kurtz as well as his brother David. He will be greatly missed by his loving sisters-in-law Judy and Pat, and his brother-in-law Dave Zwaniga. He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to Dr. David Hood and the nursing staff at the Guelph General Hospital for the wonderful care of Paul and to Paul's friend Joe for the much appreciated help over the years. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph for visitation on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a vigil to be held at 6:45 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Boniface Church, 1394 Maryhill Rd., Maryhill, on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10 a.m. with burial at St. Boniface Cemetery, Maryhill to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to New Hope Animal Rescue, the Canadian Prostate Cancer Research Foundation, or to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Cards are available at the funeral home (519-821-5077) or condolences may be left online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
