  Oliver C. Erb, "the eighth child of Abraham Erb, was born in Blenheim, Ontario, June 6th, 1850. He resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he is engaged as a machinist. On December 24th, 1872, he was married to Annie Hampson Crewe who was born in England, November 20th, 1851. To them were born (in Grand Rapids, Michigan) five children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
