      Mazik, Marlene: Entered into the arms of her Lord and Saviour, on Monday, March 12, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Jerry Mazik. Loving and proud mother of Rev. Jeffery Mazik (Rev. Terri) of Ottawa, and Kelvin Mazik (Rev. Denise) of Waterloo.
      Proud and loving Bachie (grandmother) of Mariah, Jessica Dunn (David), Samara, Bethany and Chantelle, and great grandmother of James Dunn. Sister of Mervin Boyes (Dorothy) of Owen Sound, Ross Boyes (Barbara) of Cambridge, Ronald Boyes (Janice) of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her parents Alice and James Boyes and sister-in-law Mary Carruthers.

      Marlene served as an Administrative Assistant to a number of organizations over the span of her career, including her place of worship (Kitchener Gospel Temple), social services, the healthcare field, and the Billy Graham Association. Upon retirement, Marlene served the team at Henry Walser Funeral Home as a part-time receptionist. Although she enjoyed her working career her true love was being a mother and a grandmother.

      Marlene wishes to thank her amazing and compassionate oncologist, Dr. Califaretti and the entire 5th floor nursing team. Special heartfelt thanks to niece and oncology nurse, Kristen Bast and her team. A huge thank-you to CarePartners nursing team 7 and in particular to Donna, a gifted nurse who was caring and thoughtful, and much loved by Marlene.

      Friends are invited to share their memories of Marlene with her family during visitation at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. The Funeral for Marlene will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held immediately following the funeral.
      Private family interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
