  MARTIN, Sydney W. - Peacefully, on Monday, January 29, 2007, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, Sydney W. Martin, age 85 years, of RR 2, Drayton.Beloved husband of the late Irene Martin (1996). Loving father of Lorne and Gladys Martin, Clare and Marian Martin, Beatrice and Ralph Martin, all of RR 2, Drayton, Alvin and Carol Martin of RR 1, Elmira, Cleon and Christine Martin of RR 1, Arthur, Paul and Rose Martin of RR 2, Arthur. Fondly remembered by 44 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. Brother of Minerva and Herman Martin, Rebecca and Edgar Martin, Alice and Vernon Shantz and brother-in-law of Minerva Martin and Hannah Martin.Predeceased by his parents, Manassah and Lydia Ann (Weber) Martin; daughter, Marie; three brothers, Emil, Orval and Josiah; sister, Selina (Sydney) Gingrich and one great-grandchild.The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held at the home of Ralph and Beatrice Martin on Thursday morning, February 1, 2007 at 9 a.m. then to the North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for further public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
