- Betzner, Matilda (Matie) - At Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo, on Satruday, August 25, 2001, Matilda (Matie) Viola Betzner (nee Miller), age 92 years, of Waterloo. Mrs. Betzner was a member of Calgary Memorial United Church. Beloved wilfe of the late Ken Betzner (1984). Loving sister of Mrs. Catherine Clemens of Waterloo; dear aunt of Sylvia Peifer, Don and Carol Fleming, Carolyn and Del Wilke, Gerald Fleming, Janice Foley, Noel and Bev Foley, Melvin Foley, Marilyn and Bob Speedie, Orville and Joan Opertshauser, Ruth and Lavergne Clary, Florence and Elton Dunseath, Myrtle and Bentley Medd, Ronald and Brenda Fleming. Also survived by her 27 great-nieces and great nephews and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, Marvin and Ernest and four sisters, Minerva, Ismay, Bertha and Irlene. Friends and relatives may call at the Ratz-Bectel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, this evening (Monday) 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when the funeral service will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, Rev. John Lougheed and Miss Jean Kellerman will officiate. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel family centre, then burial in Bloomingdale Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cardiac Unit of K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital or Calvary Memorial United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
