  AWDE, CLARENCE JOSEPH Of Puslinch, peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on December 6, 1996. Born on May 26, 1908 in Hagersville, ON, Clarence was the son of Joseph Awde and Elizabeth Petheram. Upon marrying Olive Fixter in 1939, Clarence moved to Puslinch Township, where he farmed for many years. He was a faithful member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Crieff, where he served as an elder for many years. Survived by one daughter, Earla Jane Boyd; his son-in-law, Jim Boyd; his grandchildren, Peter Humphries, Marcy and Kyla Boyd; close friends, Will and Melanie Yzerman; two sisters, Evelyn Fixter of Guelph; Lina Jepson of Hagerville; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Olive; brothers, Harold, Walter and Sherman; sisters, Edith, Ruby and Minnie Awde. Erwin S. Nelson Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd. , Cambridge. Service on Monday at 2 at Knox Presbyterian Church, Crieff, conducted by Rev. Anne Yee-Hibbs. Interment in Killean Cemetery.
