    • BLAIR, CLARENCE

      Of 167 Hewat St., Preston. Well known Preston resident for the past forty-three years, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, December 9, 1962, in his 84th year. Born in Puslinch Township, near Guelph, he lived in Aberfoyle and Grimsby before moving to Preston. He married the former Ethel Gilpin on Easter Saturday, March 1907 and the couple marked their 50th anniversary with a family dinner in 1957. A carpenter by trade, he was employed with Eastern Steel Products for many years. He was an ardent member of St. Paul's United Church. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Clifford of Windsor; Keith of Millbrook; One daughter, Bessie (Mrs. Edward Saunders) of Branchton; one brother, George E. Blair of Glen Orchid, ON; two sisters, Mrs. Rev. R. V. Bingham of Toronto; Mrs. Rev. I. Patterson of Flint, Ml; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Service at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, cornerof Queen and Argyle Sts. , Preston on Wed. , Dec. 12 at 2: 30. Rev. A. I. Waters officiated. Pallbearers: Emil Hagedorn, Robert Oliver, Earl Lawrence, Albert Saunders, Glen Sauder and Henry Baldrey. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau.
