- HERITAGE, CHRISTINA (Nee McAllister)
On Tuesday, March 26, 1929 at 8 a. m., at her home in Bloomington, llinois, in her 89th year. Relict of Captain George Heritage. Mrs. Heritage was a native of this district, having been born in Puslinch Township and residing in that section until her marriage. Despite her very advanced age, Mrs. Heritage enjoyed excellent health all her life, retained all her faculties and every summer returned to this district to visit with relatives and friends. She was a staunch Presbyterian and proudly boasted that she had never missed a Sunday School service in her life, attending every Sunday until illness, a month or so ago, confined her to her home. She leaves four children, John of Victoria, BC; George, Christina and Mrs. Catterlin of Bloomington. Funeral on Friday at 3, from the residence of A. McLellan, 186(?) Wellington St. in Galt to Hespeler Cemetery.
- Information from the Galt Reporter. Their daughter, Christina Heritage, of High Springs, FL, died on Wednesday morning, July 22, 1964, in her 86th year. Funeral service at the Stager-Nelson Funeral Home in Hespeler on Fri., July 24 at 3: 30. Interment Hespeler Cemetery. She had resided in Florida for many years and previously in Bloomington, Illinois, where she was born. Miss Heritage was a high school teacher, a member of the American Teachers' Association and of the Presbyterian Church. The last member of her family, survived by a niece, Mrs. Elsie Dolan of High Springs, FL, besides relatives in the Crieff area. Predeceased by brothers, John of Victoria, BC; George of Bloomington; and Mrs. Susan Catterlin.

Pioneer Dies
Mrs. G. T. Heritage, 89, Resident of City for 65 Years, Dies
Mrs. George T. Heritage, 89, died at 8 a. m. Tuesday at her home, 512 East Mulberry street, from a general breakdown in health. Mrs Heritage was born May 18, 1840 at Green Hill farm near Hespeler, Ontario, where she lived until her marriage, Feb 22, 1854, to Capt George T. Heritage of the Thirty- ninth infantry, Company B. Illinois Volunteers Inmediately after the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Heritage came to Bloomington to live.
Mrs. Heritage was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs John McAlister, Scotch pioneers who settled in Ontario in 1828.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Susan Catterlin, George T. and Christina R at home and a son, John of Victoria. B. C. who is the chief engineer of the S. S. Princess Marguerite between Seattle and Detroit. One sister, Mrs. William Maude, lives at Fergus, Ont. There are also four grandchildren, Mrs. Ned Dolan, Bloomington: Mrs. Olive and Marion Heritage, Victoria and George Wilfred, Port Alice, B. C.
Mrs. Heritage was the oldest member of the First Presbyterian church of Bloomington, having been affiliated there for 65 years. She was also a member of the Relief Corps and the W. C. T. U.
Burial will be in Galt, Ont, where Mr. Heritage be buried. Plans for services in Bloomington are not yet completed
