    • ELSTON, ANNIE (Nee Cober)

      Early Friday night, February 12, 1954, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Guelph, in her 69th year. Born in Hay Township, she was the daughter of the late Soloman Cober and Elizabeth Pletsch. She lived there until the age of 4 years, when the family moved to Puslinch Township. She was married at her home there on November 12, 1913. Mrs. Elston was an adherent of the United Missionary Church in Hespeler. Surviving are four daughters, Emily (Mrs. Jack Thornborow) of Waterdown; Alice (Mrs. Henry Broeckel) of Guelph; Hilda (Mrs. Ivan Tweedle) of Dundas; Miss Helen Elston of Hamilton; two brothers, Jacob Cober of Toronto; Wesley Cober of Cookville; five sisters, Mrs. Susannah Gingrich of Stevensville; Mrs. Jessie Winger of Wainfleet; Mrs. Mary Beer of Hespeler; Mrs. Carl Baker of Kindersley, SK; Mrs. Norman Rieck of Hespeler; and six grandchildren. Service at the Stager Funeral Home in Hespeler on Tues., Feb. 16 at 2: 30. Rev. J. W. Colley officiated. Interment Hespeler Cemetery. Pallbearers: Leslie Witmer and Abraham Wismer of Preston; Elton Holm of Galt; Charles Cober of Kossuth; Cecil Holm and Nelson Bechtel of Hespeler.
