Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. _____________________ Conestogo Untimely Death A sad accident happened on Tuesday forenoon to Mr. Isaac G. Martin, a highly respected farmer, living about a mile out of town. He was engaged in hauling in some wood, when the horses were frightened, throwing Mr. Martin backwards off the wagon, whereby he sustained a fractured spine which resulted in his untimely death on Saturday morning. Deceased was just in his prime, being 41 years and 7 months old. He leaves to mourn the death of a loving husband and father, a widow and several children. The funeral held on Monday morning was attended by a large number of friends and acquaintances from far and near who came to pay a last tribute of respect to the memory of the departed. Interment took place at Martin's cemetery, where service also was held. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement. Elmira Signet Sep 27 1917
