- COOK, ROBERT TAYLOR
Lifelong resident of the old Cook homestead in Puslinch, at his residence on Wednesday, January 26, 1949, in his 66th year. He had been in ill health for one month. Mr. Cook was born on the old Cook homestead and farmed there all his life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Waterdown and an adherent of the United Church. Surviving are his wife, Sybil L. Thompson; three daughters, Lettie (Mrs. K. W. Manning) and Edith (Mrs. F. G. Petty), both of Galt; Mrs. J. J. Rolls of Hamilton; two brothers, George of Vancouver; Lorne of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. R. Hamilton of Manitoba; and five grandchildren.
The following six members of Waterdown Lodge A. F. & A. M. were pallbearers at the funeral of Mr. Cook of R. R. #3, Puslinch, held at the Coutts Funeral Home in Galt on Fri., Jan. 28 at 3: 15: Oliver Leslie, Charles Purnell, Hanley Gray, Basil Ballard, Russell Wise and J. R. Nicoll. Interment was in Mount View Cemetery. Rev. C. R. Albright of Freelton United Church officiated.
