  SCHEFTER, Reverend Charles - Passed away peacefully on June 1st in his 90th year. He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Gladys, brother Austin, sisters Verda and Mary (Johnson), and brothers-in-law Ray Middletown and Ray Norris. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff and PSWs at St. Joseph's Health Centre. They all came to love Father as he lived in their facility. The family also wishes to especially thank Dr. McPherson for her kindness and support during Father's stay at St. Joseph's. Father Charlie was ordained on May 26, 1956. His first parish was in Oakville and finished at St. Clement's in Cambridge. He served in parishes in Hamilton, Kitchener, Maryhill, Fergus, Elora, and Brantford. He loved golf and gardening at the cottage. He was especially kind to his mother in her declining years. Sunday supper with his mom and family was a regular occurrence. Visitation for Father Charles will take place at St. Clement's R.C. Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Clement's R.C.
