  Nicolaus Cressman, "was born in Limerick County, Pennsylvania, in 1751. He was married and had a family of several children all of whom, save Jacob remained in Pennsylvania. We could not obtain all the desired information pertaining to this family, viz: To whom old Nicolaus was married, when he died and names of all his children with their descendants. All we have is the name of one son who settled in Wilmot Township, Waterloo County, Ontario" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
