  FISHER, William George - Passed away peacefully at Stirling Heights, Cambridge on August 2, 2009 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Vera Harvie, who predeceased him in 1998. Loving brother of Isabel Russell (predeceased) of Cambridge and Helen Hallman (predeceased) of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews. Bill was an avid bowler, and will be sadly missed by both his regular bowling team from Waterloo and his Preston lawn bowling team. Bill held a longtime middle management position with the former Savage Shoes. Friends and family will be received at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street East, Cambridge on Thursday, August 6, 2009 (today) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. The family of the late William Fisher would also like to thank the staff at Stirling Heights in Cambridge for their excellent care and comfort in his final days.
