She was born April 10, 1941 in Providence Bay, Manitoulin Island to Henrietta (Hall) and John Blue (deceased).

Sister-in-law to Elmer and Karen Zettel. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Prior to her retirement, Leona worked at Grand River Hospital for 20 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and a very huge part of her grandchildren's lives. We are truly blessed that she was able to know and love her newest grandchild, Clara Leona.

Leona fought a courageous battle over the last year and a half after suffering an aneurysm. With determination, strong independence and the love and support of her family, she was able to overcome her many setbacks.

Leona touched many lives with her love of life, her generosity of herself and her beautiful spirit. To meet Leona was to love her.

Her family wishes to thank Dr. Sarma and Dr. Murty of Hamilton General Hospital. To all that have helped mom with their medical knowledge, loving care and loving support, our family will be forever indebted.
